Church
Two more versions. Per John's comments, more cartoony I hope. I'm trying to leave out everything except the church, the ground plane and a wave of trees in the background. How come that goddamn bench keeps popping up?
Trying for a clean composition with few basic shapes and lots of negative space.

more cartoony and clean up the cramped areas
don't use rulers
I'm sure there are many schools of thought, but when I'm building perspective I have always used rulers. I'd do a rough for the overall layout. Then come in and check my perspective (with rulers).
Then do my finished drawing free hand.
My 2 cents
Keep up the good work.
Hey Vincent, good advice. Thanks for dropping by! I'm a big fan of your work.
all your pieces are the same width
there are no wide open spaces
like the church wings
they are all tall and thin and completely filled with windows
open some spaces up
put some contrasting sizes and shapes in there to make the overall building read as one entity,
not a bunch of the same entities glued together
got it. i'm going to come back to this as soon as i finish the cabin scenes.
